A Kurdish refugee who had been sentenced to prison for 8 years in a detention camp in Australia, has been the finalist of the Archibald Prize since last thursday, which is the most prestigious portrait prize in Australia. The refugee Mostafa Azimitabar painted his self portrait when he was in the detention camp with a toothbrush and some coffee powder. We will know the winner of the Prize on May 13th.
