US GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN

Since the first of October, the US' political life has been tumultuous : the entière country is experiencing right now a shutdown.

A shutdown is like a freezing of all the country's administration, which means that all of the public services cannot be funded, because the Congress (the equivalent of Francés National Assembly or Senate) has not yet voted on this year's budget law.

As a result, no money can be taken out of the US' treasury.

Now, the solution would be to actually vote that budget law, but the two main political parties (the Democrats and the Republicans) have not yet found a compromise so this law would be voted.

This event is pretty rare : the last time there was a shutdown was in 2018 where Democrats were drastically opposed in using governmental funds to build the wall between the US and Mexico, which lasted 35 days !
